This newsletter is all about exciting events by and with Schweizer. We are particularly looking forward to the webinar which will be held in collaboration with Photovoltaik magazine. Just like at the last – very successful – event on lightning protection and lightning current carrying capacity, we will be sharing some highly topical information from our mounting practice.

There is a growing trend towards building PV installations on insulated flat roofs. The load capacity of the insulating materials and the lifespan of the sealant cover is not always taken into consideration, though, which can lead to leaks in the roof. Our free webinar in collaboration with Photovoltaik magazine will feature our sales engineer Jens Helmich and Silke Kleeberg, project manager for flat roof application technology at Knauf Insulation. The two experts will explain what installers need to watch out for when installing a PV installation on a flat roof.

We are part of the EU-sponsored BIPVBOOST project promoting innovation in the BIPV sector. The project will be offering a free event at Bau München on April 20 presenting the most exciting new products and developments of BIPV modules and solutions such as our Solrif system. Join us for discussions, expert lectures, speed pitches and lots of networking opportunities!

Only two months to go until the most important solar event of the year. Schweizer will, of course, be there from June 14–16, and we will bring along product news, such as our new MSP green roof system, that has been eagerly awaited by many. Another novelty are our ballast trays with a new geometry for flat roof systems for quick and easy mounting, even of large modules.
