Thanks to our wonderful customers and partners, the year 2022 was an exceptionally successful one! The demand for our mounting systems has reached a record high, and Ernst Schweizer was not only awarded the Energiewendemacher (energy transition driver) prize, but was also awarded the Top Brand PV seal for being one of the leading PV mounting system brands in Germany.

But our team has not been resting on its laurels, so there are going to be a lot of innovations this year – just wait and see!

The electric equipotential bonding on our flat roof mounting systems can be achieved without earthing screws. The conductive bare-metal centre clamp MSP PR-MCG (item number 22626) facilitates adjustments to installations consisting of several rows of panels facing south or east-west. Your advantage: This reduces the amount of installation steps! Our planning software Solar.Pro.Tool factors it in automatically: Simply select the conductive bare-metal centre clamp during the design process.

If you’re not very familiar with lightning protection using MSP yet, we’ve put together some information that was published in the trade magazine Photovoltaik’s special on flat roofs.

In summary: Thanks to the lightning current carrying capacity, the area potential of the roof can be better used without neglecting lightning protection.

Our long-standing partner Norsk Hydro has recently produced their one-millionth MSP roof hook for Ernst Schweizer! Norsk Hydro designed a special cup and organised a staff party to celebrate this special achievement of our cooperation. We’d like to express our gratitude and we’re looking forward to our next mutual milestones!

By the way: Although the name might be selling it a little short, these MSP roof hooks are complex products and they require a lot of expertise on production and material. They are made of up to six aluminium components which need to be processed and mounted.
