Strategic partnership with Activ'Glass - Professional fitness with webinars from Schweizer - New trapezoidal rails for MSP-TT

Our news in March 2025

We are excited about our strategic partnership with Activ’Glass. Together, we are driving new developments around the Solrif system to better meet current market demands. On 27 March 2025, we are hosting a free webinar together with photovoltaik magazine on the topic of ‘Working safely on the roof’. Our webinar series, ‘Live Solar Knowledge for Professionals’, also provides valuable PV expertise. It kicks-off on 19 March with a webinar on ‘PV and Green Roofs – a Perfect Symbiosis’. Finally, we are expanding our MSP-TT mounting system for trapezoidal sheet metal roofs with a 100 mm high trapezoidal rail.

  • Schweizer and Activ’Glass have entered into a strategic partnership for Solrif, bringing several key improvements for our customers—including high-quality Swiss-made framing, optimized delivery times, and more efficient logistics.

Since January 1, 2025, the coloured SolarTerra versions from Activ’Glass have been framed directly at our facility in Hedingen, ensuring the highest quality. With its wide range of formats and dummy cuts, SolarTerra enables flexible installation—even for buildings with complex geometries.

Starting in April, we will launch a Solrif version featuring the latest back-contact cell technology. With its matte full-black design, this innovation sets new standards in both performance and aesthetics.

  • Our webinar series ” Live solar knowledge for professionals ” kicks off on March 19 with a session on “PV and Green Roofs – A Perfect Symbiosis.” It offers practical insights into the possibilities of combining green roofs and photovoltaics, as well as the planning and construction of PV-integrated green roofs. Additionally, it provides important tips on what to consider during maintenance and care.

On March 27, 2025, we are hosting a free webinar with photovoltaic magazine on the topic of ” Working safely on the roof’. Our experts will demonstrate, with practical examples, how to comply with safety regulations for working on roofs. They will also provide valuable tips and tricks on how to implement safety measures without hindering work on the roof. The webinar also answers the question: Who is responsible for ensuring safe working conditions on the roof, and what are the consequences if something goes wrong?

  • The demand for optimally rear-ventilated PV modules is increasing, as more and more module manufacturers are aligning with the specifications of insurance companies, which require a minimum distance of 100 mm between the roof cladding and the lower edge of the module. To be offer you this important option, we are expanding our MSP-TT mounting system for trapezoidal sheet metal roofs with a new trapezoidal rail with a height of 100 mm.

The rail is available in two lengths: short = 100 mm for mounting on a trapezoidal high bead and long = 370 mm for mounting on two trapezoidal high beads. As with the other components of the MSP-TT system, we emphasise quick and easy installation.

The new trapezoidal rails will go on sale on 17 March 2025.
