Our topics for September: Solrif audits – our Feldkirch project – what’s new in SPT – free webinar on green roofs

To maintain and continuously improve the high quality of the Solrif in-roof PV system, we conduct regular audits on our Solrif partners’ premises. The entire framing process is checked step by step to ensure that the “solar tile” remains permanently watertight and the silicone sealant is applied evenly with a clean shadow joint. New inspection steps have been added, including checks to measure the flatness of PV laminates. The newly developed process ensures that only suitable flat laminates are used for Solrif.

Several partners have already been successfully audited. The framing for one partner is carried out at our plant in Hedingen and serves as a reference process. Any non-conformities identified are systematically rectified as part of a professional audit procedure. The audits are carried out every three years.

This rigorous approach to quality control and continuous improvement guarantees a reliable, watertight system for high-quality, long-lasting roofs – and thus ensures satisfied customers.

The Feldkirch Küchlerstrasse project was a prime example of just how important a flexible PV mounting system can be for complex rooftop projects. The planning and conditions on the roof changed several times during the project. The positioning of the PV installation and the available roof areas had to be repeatedly reassessed and adjusted.

The main advantage of our MSP-FR-G green roof system was summed up neatly by the project manager:

“The roof planning changed several times during the project. Thanks to the flexibility of the MSP-FR-G, we were able to respond quickly to the new conditions and adapt the system accordingly. Most importantly for us, we were still able to achieve the required PV output on the roof despite these changes.”

This is precisely where the MSP-FR-G comes into its own: thanks to the system’s flexible layout and adjustment options, the PV installation can be adapted to suit different and changing roof conditions. This allows available space to be used as efficiently as possible and planning changes to be implemented without having to revise the entire system design.

The Feldkirch Küchlerstrasse project demonstrates how flexibility in planning ensures certainty during implementation.

An update was recently rolled out. It includes the following changes:

• MSP-FR south: The ballast positioning on the walkway rails is adjusted to minimise the amount of shade cast on the modules.
• MSP-FR east-west: To make it even easier to plan complex roofs, a different ballast arrangement is used locally around roof obstructions.
• MSP-FR east-west and MSP-FR green: The 63 mm Optimizer clamp can now be included in planning.
• MSP-FR east-west and MSP-FR south: Gravel trays can now be included in planning. This feature is only available on request.

We would also like to point out that two-factor authentication is enabled with this release.
