Our news in December 2023

An eventful year is coming to an end and the Schweizer team is looking forward to a well-deserved break over the holidays.

Before we take a look back at the memorable events of our business year, we would like to briefly inform you about delivery deadlines at the turn of the year:

Tuesday, 19 December 2023: last deliveries in 2023
Tuesday, 9 January 2024: first deliveries in 2024

Our office will be closed from December 25, 2023 to January 5, 2024.
We look forward to being back at your service in 2024. Until then, we hope you have a peaceful holiday season and a great start to the new solar year!

From Austria’s Salzburg to the German Baltic Sea coast: we delivered mounting units for numerous solar systems in 2023. From a historic farm to a modern thermal bath – we covered all kinds of installations. What’s more, our systems are being deployed on the homes of many professionals in the solar sector – from electricians to the managing director of a solar factory. We faced a challenge at the Intersolar exhibition in Munich six months ago: our booth was so popular that we hardly had space for all our great visitors. But we’re not complaining! Another highlight was Solar Solutions in Düsseldorf. This year we were delighted with the growth in the number of participants. Our team was pleased to see so many visits to the booth, including regional politicians like Silke Krebs, State Secretary in the North Rhine-Westphalia Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy, who learned all about green roof installation at our booth. We’re also looking back on our highly successful 2023 webinar ‘How do I avoid roof leaks when installing solar systems?’ which had over 450 participants. A new ballast tray, conductive middle clamp, new ballast support system: 2023 was the year of detailed optimisation for our PV mounting units. We’re particularly proud of our new solution for green roofs: MSP-FR-G. The system is installed without roof penetration and can be aligned and arranged particularly flexibly. This means we can offer all system variants from a single source: Solrif in-roof, on-roof, flat roof, pitched roof, metal roof and green roof – a real benefit for our partners and customers.

We are deeply committed to BIPV research, like the MC 2.0 project, which uses a mass-customisation approach to significantly reduce the costs of solar façades, roofs, and windows. It is financed by the European Union and the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research, and Innovation. Sophisticated semi-finished products can be used to produce innovative photovoltaic elements for industrial buildings more economically. By focusing on the development of PV mounting units, we are committed to making a significant contribution to the further development of this pioneering concept.
